Ireland and Germany Secure Bronze Medal Game on Day Four of the Coed Slowpitch Euros

Day four of the Coed Slowpitch European Championship 2024 in Pardubice, Czechia, close the Opening Round with a round of nine games. After four day of games, Great Britain is still undefeated.

Ireland began the day with a 21-6 victory over Serbia, followed by Austria's 35-22 win against Norway. Czechia faced their first tournament defeat, losing 16-9 to the Netherlands.

Germany narrowly edged out Belgium with a 22-21 victory, while Ireland secured a 15-8 win over Austria. Great Britain continued their unbeaten streak, dominating Norway with a 35-5 victory. Germany defeated Serbia 25-10, and the Netherlands triumphed over Belgium 18-13.

The final match of the day, a preview of tomorrow's gold medal game, saw Great Britain defeat Czechia 19-12.

At the end of the Opening Round, the standings see Great Britain at the top with a perfect 8-0 record, followed closely by Czechia at 6-2. Ireland is third, trailed by Germany. The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Serbia follow, while Norway is yet to secure a win.

Tomorrow, Great Britain and Czechia will once again face each other, this time competing for the title of European Champions.
Ireland and Germany will compete for the bronze medal.

Belgium and the Netherlands will clash for the fifth position. Meanwhile, Austria, Serbia, and Norway will battle to determine the final standings from seventh to ninth place.
