The Top Players of the U-18 Baseball European Championship

The U-18 Baseball European Championship in Regensburg, Germany, concluded with the closing ceremony, where the top players of the championships were awarded individual awards.

Best Pitcher: Filippo Sabatini (ITA)
Filippo Sabatini of Italy was awarded the Best Pitcher title. He recorded a superb ERA of 0.64 on 11 innings pitched and 20 strikeouts. He was the winning pitcher of the Semifinal against Great Britain.

Leading Batter: Djean Macares (NED)
Djean Macares from the Netherlands won the Best Batter with an impressive batting average of .632, 13 hits on 22 at-bats, 10 RBIs, and an on-base percentage of .679.

Most Valuable Player: Giacomo Taschin (ITA)
Giacomo Taschin, also from Italy, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. Taschin excelled both in the box with a batting average of .333 and on the mount with an ERA of 1.0 over 25.0 innings pitched. The Italian ace started the seven games Italy played throughout the U-18 EuroBaseball.

Italy won the Title of European Champion, Germany secured silver, and the Netherlands took home bronze. Both Italy and Germany have qualified for the upcoming WBSC World Cup.
