On the first game day of the Baseball European Champions Cup on May 15, VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe dominated Eagles Praha for a 13-0 opening win. In the second game Draci Brno edged out the Guggenberger Legionaere in a pitcher’s duel by a score of 2-0.
In the respective
national competition Regensburg is leading the southern division of the German
Baseball-Bundesliga in first place with a 12-4 record. Heidenheim is in a tie
for second place with an 8-6 record. Both teams were rained out this past
weekend.
Draci is coming
into the second week after losing two of three games to Trebic Nuclears in the
Czech Extraliga. They now sit in second place in the standings with a 13-6
record. The Eagles won twice against Sokol Hluboka this past weekend in Czechia.
They are in third place in the standings with a 12-8 record.
