Day 2 of the Men’s Softball European Super Cup 2024 in Prague saw 20 more games taking place, with teams battling for positions in their respective groups.
The day started with Locos Břeclav (CZE) overpowering MRKI Medvedi (CRO) 11-1. Magos Tenerife (ESP) delivered a strong performance, defeating Hoboken Pioneers (BEL) 11-0. Olympia Haarlem (NED) completely dominated Sweden Royals (SWE) with a 20-0 victory.
Vennep Flyers (NED) were outplayed by Gladsaxe Softball (DEN), who won 11-4. In a closely contested game, Spectrum Praha (CZE) managed a 4-2 win over Chicaboo’s Stabroek (BEL). Meanwhile, Hippos Havlickuv Brod (CZE) edged out Amager Vikings (DEN) 1-0 in a nail-biting game. Tempo Praha (CZE) came out on top in a 6-4 win over Czechia U23.
Pistones ALZ (MEX) secured a 3-1 victory against Žraloci Ledenice (CZE). Later, MRKI Medvedi (CRO) claimed an 8-1 win over London Meteors (GBR), while Hoboken Pioneers (BEL) defeated DVH (NED) 5-0.
The afternoon session saw Sweden Royals (SWE) fall 11-4 to Hurricanes (DEN). Montpellier Barracudas (FRA) earned a 7-5 victory over Gladsaxe Softball (DEN). Team Misgav (ISR) struggled against Chicaboo’s Stabroek (BEL), losing 7-0. VSC Sweden (SWE) narrowly lost 4-3 to Amager Vikings (DEN) in a close contest. Czechia U23 triumphed in a high-scoring game against Stags (GBR), winning 12-10.
In the later games, Pistones ALZ (MEX) clinched a tight 3-2 victory over Span (CRO). Locos Břeclav (CZE) continued their winning ways with a 10-3 win against Spectrum Praha (CZE). Hippos Havlickuv Brod (CZE) secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Magos Tenerife (ESP). Olympia Haarlem (NED) narrowly beat Tempo Praha (CZE) 2-1, while Žraloci Ledenice (CZE) wrapped up the day's action with a 5-2 win over Vennep Flyers (NED).
After two days of competition, the group leaders have emerged. Defending Champions Locos Břeclav (CZE) lead Group A with a 3-0 record so far. In Group B, Hippos Havlickuv Brod (CZE) is holding the top position after securing key victories. Group C has Montpellier Barracudas (FRA) vying for the lead, with a key walkoff win against Gladsaxe. In Group D, Hurricanes (DEN) and Olympia Haarlem (NED) are currently at the top and will face tomorrow for the group's lead.
