Extended Deadline for Little League Support Requests in Europe

WBSC Europe announced that the deadline for submitting development project proposals for Little League support has been extended to September 15th, 2024. This extension aims to provide ample time for National Federations to prepare and submit their proposals, focusing on enhancing youth baseball and softball across Europe.

With over 1,300 Little League teams in Europe, substantial funding support is available to further develop the sport.

Little League Baseball and Softball, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to broadening access to its development initiatives, ensuring player growth and retention. A key focus of these initiatives is increasing female inclusion and opportunities at all levels of the program.

National Federations are encouraged to concentrate on developing local projects that will foster growth within their countries. For support or ideas on how to develop a Little League system, please contact Kristian Palvia at kpalvia@wbsceurope.org.

Key points to receive the Little League funding:

  • Extended Deadline: The new deadline for submitting development project proposals is September 15th, 2024.
  • Focus on Local Development: Emphasize projects that will boost youth participation and expand opportunities for female athletes in baseball and softball.
