Czechia Repeats as Champions of the U-15 EuroSoftball, Italy Takes Silver, Spain Earns Bronze

The final day of the U-15 Women's Softball European Championship 2024 in Prague, Czechia concluded with the final canceled due to rain. Czechia won the trophy despite the cancellation thanks to the previous games. Spain won the bronze medal game against the Netherlands.

Gold Medal Game: Czechia VS Italy (game cancelled)

The gold medal game between Italy and Czechia was canceled after only one inning due to rain.

Despite the cancellation, Czechia was crowned the U-15 Women's Softball European Champions for 2024, thanks to their earlier win against Italy in the super round.

This victory marks a back-to-back championship win for Czechia, who also claimed the title in 2022 in the Netherlands.

Bronze Medal Game: Spain VS Netherlands (4-1)

The bronze medal game saw Spain triumph over the Netherlands with a 4-1 victory.

Spain secured the bronze medal in the U-15 Women's Softball European Championship with a decisive 4-1 victory over the Netherlands. Spain took an early lead when ABADIA scored one run in the first inning. The second run for Spain was scored thanks to FIGUEREDO, on base with a double, scoring on a bunt by CARPIO, taking the score to 2-0.   

The Dutch managed to score a single run in the fifth inning when NAGEL scored on a sacrifice fly by BRANDSMA.

A long homerun by the Spanish MVP of the game FIGUEREDO (3 on 3 for the day) sealed the final result, 4-1. Figueredo also pitched an excellent complete game for Spain.

Germany VS Ukraine (9-5)

Germany started the day with a solid 9-5 victory over Ukraine.

Germany's offense was consistent, with key runs scored in the first, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. Georgina Kallenberger earned the win with an ERA of 3.60. Thanks to this win, Germany secured 5th place in the tournament.

Croatia VS Great Britain (2-10)

Great Britain secured a 10-2 victory over Croatia. Great Britain took an early lead, scoring 4 runs in the first inning and 4 more in the second. Croatia managed to score 1 run each in the second and third innings, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Julie Hasmandova earned the win for Great Britain. This game secured Great Britain's 7th place and Croatia's 8th place in the final standings.
