Czechia and Italy Qualify for WBSC World Cup Following U-15 Women's Softball European Championship Success

It is now official: following their performances and securing gold and silver medals at the U-15 Women's Softball European Championship, Czechia and Italy have qualified for the upcoming WBSC World Cup.

Czechia and Italy will represent the European continent in the U-15 Softball World Cup will take place in 2025.

The qualification ensures that the two squads, who were unable to play the final of the U-15 Women's Softball European Championship, will have the opportunity to compete against each other once again on the world stage.

The continental final between Czechia and Italy was in fact marred by inclement weather. As the Italian national team was being introduced, a heavy downpour forced the first delay.

Thanks to the excellent work of the SK Joudrs ground crew, the game resumed around 21. However, shortly after the start of the top of the first inning, another storm caused more interruptions, leading the Technical Commissioners to declare the game canceled.

Czechia was declared the winner of the championship based on their head-to-head victory against Italy during the Super Round. This decisive game, initially suspended due to bad weather with Italy leading 3-0 in the third inning, was completed the following morning, with the host team securing a 7-4 victory.
