The Softball Euroleague, a fastpitch competition for women and juniors, was established to promote cross-border regional competition. From 2014 to 2019, it ran for six consecutive years before taking a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic. It successfully resumed in 2022, with the 2024 edition marking the league's continued resurgence.
