Revised Schedule Announced for Women's Softball European Championship

Originally set to feature 97 games, the Women's Softball European Championship 2024 will now consist of 89 matches. This adjustment comes in response to unforeseen changes and a special request from the event organizers.

The groups have been reorganized to accommodate the absence of Ireland, initially assigned to Group A. The revised groupings are as follows:
- Group A*: France, Switzerland, Denmark
- Group B*: Poland, Belgium, Malta
- Group C*: Slovakia, Ukraine, Finland, Bulgaria
- Group D*: Croatia, Austria, Sweden, Hungary
- Group X: Czechia, Germany, Netherlands, Spain
- Group Y: Great Britain, Greece, Israel, Italy

The opening ceremony is still planned on the main field at 20:00 on Sunday, September 1st.

The format remains as previously announced: the top eight teams from the previous championship automatically qualified for the second phase of the event, entering into the semifinal pools X and Y. The remaining teams are divided into four pools – A, B, C, and D – where they will play a single round-robin. The winners of each group will then advance to the semifinal pools X and Y.
