Netherlands and Italy to play the gold medal game; Czechia to face Great Britain for the Bronze

In today's morning games, Ireland edged out Germany with a 5-3 victory, while Poland outscored Finland 19-11 in a high-scoring match.

In a highly anticipated matchup between the Netherlands and Italy, the Netherlands emerged victorious with a 10-2 win. The game was marked by powerful hitting, with a total of five home runs—one for Italy and four for the Netherlands. The Netherlands capitalized on their offensive opportunities, driving in 10 RBIs throughout the game.
Tomorrow, the Netherlands will face Italy for the Title of European Champion just like in the 2018 edition.

Czechia displayed their strength with a commanding 7-0 win over France, and Croatia managed a narrow 3-2 victory against Belgium.

As the day progressed, Poland defeated Switzerland 20-7. The Netherlands maintained their dominance with another victory, this time 5-1 over France. Ukraine came close but fell just short against Germany in a thrilling 9-8 game, and Denmark secured a 10-3 win against Finland. Italy finished the day with a convincing 10-2 win over Israel.

In the final game of the day between Great Britain and Czechia, Great Britain secured a 7-0 victory, largely thanks to a strong second inning where they scored five runs. Czechia struggled to generate offense, managing only four hits without scoring. These two teams will meet again tomorrow to compete for the bronze medal in the U-22 Women's Softball European Championship 2024.
