Men’s Softball European Super Cup 2024: Day 1 Recap

The day's action began early with Team Misgav (ISR) defeating London Meteors (GBR) 8-1 on Field 1. Montpellier Barracudas (FRA) had a strong performance against Span (CRO), winning 9-1. Hurricanes (DEN) outplayed Stags (GBR) with an 11-3 victory. Meanwhile, VSC Sweden (SWE) narrowly edged out DVH (NED) 8-6.

Later, Locos Břeclav (CZE), the defending champions, showcased their prowess with a decisive 9-0 win over Chicaboo’s Stabroek (BEL). Pistones ALZ (MEX) recorded their first victory with a 9-1 win against Vennep Flyers (NED). Olympia Haarlem (NED) dominated Czechia U23, securing a 10-0 shutout.

Amager Vikings (DEN) proved their strength with a 5-1 win over Magos Tenerife (ESP). Spectrum Praha (CZE) continued their strong showing, defeating MRKI Medvedi (CRO) 8-0. Žraloci Ledenice (CZE) overwhelmed Gladsaxe Softball (DEN) with a commanding 14-0 victory.

In the afternoon, Tempo Praha (CZE) secured a 3-1 win over Sweden Royals (SWE). Hippos Havlickuv Brod (CZE) dominated Hoboken Pioneers (BEL) with a 9-0 victory. Chicaboo’s Stabroek (BEL) rebounded with an 8-1 win against London Meteors (GBR).

Montpellier Barracudas (FRA) continued their strong performance, defeating Pistones ALZ (MEX) 3-0. Hurricanes (DEN) maintained their winning form with a 14-0 victory over Czechia U23. Amager Vikings (DEN) earned another win, beating DVH (NED) 12-5.

Spectrum Praha (CZE) had another strong showing, defeating Team Misgav (ISR) 5-0. The game was called at the end of the fifth inning due to safety concerns, as it became too dark to continue play. Žraloci Ledenice (CZE) also continued their winning streak with a 7-3 victory over Span (CRO). Tempo Praha (CZE) concluded their day with a 7-0 win over Stags (GBR).

The day concluded with Hippos Havlickuv Brod (CZE) defeating VSC Sweden (SWE) 9-0 in five innings.

Spectrum Praha (CZE) leads Group A with two wins out of two games. In Group B, Amager Vikings (DEN) are at the top after winning both of their matches. Group C sees a tie at the top, with both Montpellier Barracudas (FRA) and Žraloci Ledenice (CZE) having two wins each. In Group D, both Hurricanes (DEN) and Tempo Praha (CZE) are leading, each with two victories from their opening games.
