With game days five and six on August 14 and 21 first-round play at the Baseball European Champions Cup ends with a pair of inner country matchups. In Germany the 3-1 clubs VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe and Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg square off, while in Czechia Draci Brno (2-2) is hosting the Eagles Praha (0-4). The BECC final is scheduled for September 28.

On the last game day in July the VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe and the Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg moved into pole position to host the final of the BECC with wins over the Eagles Praha and Draci Brno. Now the two German Baseball-Bundesliga rivals will square off this Wednesday. In the Bundesliga, where both teams have reached the semi-finals, they have split their season series so far with three wins apiece.
